Dr Amit Jain is an Associate professor in Department of surgery at Rajarajeswari medical college, Bangalore.  Earlier, he was an Assistant professor at St John’s medical college and worked there for 7 years. He is currently a senior consultant and Head at ‘AMIT JAIN’S INSTITUTE OF DIABETIC FOOT AND WOUND CARE’ at Brindhavvan Areion hospital, Bangalore. Dr Amit Jain is also a consultant podiatric surgeon at Division of diabetic foot and wound care at MV Centre of diabetes, Bangalore. He is also a visiting consultant at Synergy centre, karthik hospital and south city hospital in Bangalore.
He can be best described as “An amalgamation of good surgical skills, qualification, dedicated work, innovation and expertise”, Dr Amit worked last 8 years exclusively and focused his work on diabetic foot.  Unknown, in the subcontinent till 2013, when Dr Amit Jain was identified as a talent by Gulf Diabetic Foot Working Group [GDFWG].  Dr Amit won first place for his work at IDFC 2013 held in Dubai after which he was presented internationally as one of the experts in diabetic foot field by the same group.  Having presented his work internationally  at Qatar, Egypt, Europe, Muscat, Malaysia, etc, Today, he is one of the most liked and popular international speaker from Indian subcontinent.
He started speaking in India only after 2015 and was invited guest speaker at various national and state conferences and CME’s like DIACON 2015, MPASICON, MAGNACODE UPDATE, ETC
Commonly, known by many as a “LIVING LEGEND IN THE FIELD OF DIABETIC FOOT”, Dr Amit is well known for his independent new concepts in diabetic foot complications that will improvise the diabetic foot practice around the world.
Having laid down the world’s first principle and practice in diabetic foot, Dr Amit also runs a novel project “AMIT JAIN’S PROJECT FOR DIABETIC FOOT AND WOUND CARE- A NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVE TO TRAIN DOCTORS AND NURSES”. This is the largest independent project in the field of diabetic foot and was laid down in 2016. Since, then he has been working on this project and is trained more than 700 health care professionals through it. Last few months, Dr Amit is being invited in various colleges and cities to present his novel work.  
Recently, Brindhavvan Areion hospital in Bangalore, has named its new wing of diabetic foot after “AMIT JAIN” in recognition for his marvelous dedicated work and huge contribution in diabetic foot field, making it the first wing in India named after a diabetic foot surgeon.
